We want you to let Debbie Lane (aged just 44) stay in the Pilgrims Hospice for her remainig few weeks of her life.
The Issue
It is very important to both Debbie and her family (Husband Jeff 65 and their Daughter Jasmin ages just 7 years old) that she is able to stay in the Hospice and continue getting the excellent level of care and support she is currently receiving.
Debbie has a rare type of Cancer which is terminal and has only four weeks left to live and wishes to remain in the Hospice for the short period of time she has left. However the Hospice wish to move her to a Nursing home, against her and her families wishes. Yet if Debbie had two weeks left to live would be allowed to stay at the Hospice.
While Debbie is in the Hospice her Husband and and Daughter can visit her at any time day or night. They can even stay over night, but if Debbie was in a nursing home they wouldn't be able to do this.
Jasmim has been told that the Hospice is mummy's new home as she is very ill and is going to die and it will confuse her terribly if Debbie is moved to a Nursing Home. Jasmin is distraught enough knowing her mummy is going to die without being confused by her Mum being moved to another new home.
Debbie has clearly expressed her wishes to stay in the Hospice and not be moved to a Nursing home against her wishes.
Please sign this petition to let her stay at the Pilgrims Hospice Kent and help grant one of her dying wishes.
