REMOVE DANGEROUS DOG LABEL FROM NALA AND RELEASE IMMEDIATELY!

The Issue

An incident that is unresolved at this time occurred at the home of Rodolpho Perez on Friday, February 19. Subsequently that day his dog Sosa was demanded to be immediately surrendered to animal control officers. ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY animal control officers returned to Rodolpho's home and demanded Nala be immediately surrendered also. IF THEY BELIEVED NALA WAS DANGEROUS WOULD THEY HAVE WAITED FOR MONDAY? On Friday Nala was not involved or in physical proximity to the incident with Sosa. On Monday the animal control officers led Nala's owners to believe they had the authority to assume possession of Nala and there was no choice but to surrender her immediately.

Then- at the Pickens Co Environmental Health Board meeting Natasha Howard convinced the members that Nala be given the label of dangerous which is wrong and untrue. Nala is still being held in isolation since February 22nd and the owners have not been permitted to visit once despite coming to the shelter several times to do so. Nala is cherished, a complete cuddlebug with all people and children of all ages. She's a year and half old "grown puppy" and slept in the bed with her family all her life until now. Her family is distraught and inconsolable.

This is a SEVERE miscarriage of justice! We demand the label of dangerous to be removed from Nala and for her to be returned to her loving family where she belongs immediately!! We further demand all boarding fees by the shelter to be waived because Nala should never have been removed from her home!!

There are innumerable photos, videos, and many statements about Nala's temperament that prove how incredibly loving and sweet this dog has always been by people who have known her her entire life. This never should have happened to her. These things for Nala's defense were not permitted to be seen or heard about at the Pickens Co Environmental Health Board meeting. Rodolpho was immediately cut off and silenced by someone else present at the time of the meeting when he attempted to speak up and defend Nala's innocence.

There will be a second petition established for Sosa, who also very much does not deserve what is happening to him right now.
