Change PIAA guidelines that restrict spectators at sports

The Issue

On July 29, 2020, the PIAA announced that all high school sporting events will not be permitted to have any spectators. This guideline does not follow the governor’s restrictions that state that 250 people are permitted at outside events. Also, social distancing and mask wearing are possible regulations that can be used to help make it realistic and safe for spectators to attend.
These children need to have the support of their loved ones at these events in order to be able to fully enjoy their sports. It is healthy not just for the student-athletes but also to the families in general to be able to support each other.
Please, consider signing our petition so that this policy can hopefully be changed to include at least one spectator per athlete.
