My boy atlas was only 4 years old when we sadly had to put him to  fall asleep forever...

Here's about atlas if we can save another animal before the same happens to someone else! 

My boy took seizures quite a bit and we lost my mother in laws dog to a seizure this scared us so we got atlas checked, atlas for anyone at all that knows atlas he was a big healthy boy his whole life up until he got put on phenobarbital meds for seizures! So we took him into the pdsa to get them seen to which they put him straight onto phenobarbital meds without any scans or anything to see what was causing the seizures to start with... We paid for atlas he wasn't our free pet so I dont see why they didn't do this... But it was the next day with atlas being on these meds that we had noticed changes in his behaviour, we had atlas at the PDSA 4 times within the first week of him being on these meds and everyone got thrown down to symptoms, he even lost 2kg in six days and this didnt get picked up on.... I had said to them myself because I had read up about the meds and it said they needed bloods taken after 2 weeks of being on these to monitor there liver!, they told me the PDSA was a charity and they didn't do bloods unless there was concerns we went to them with plenty of concerns!!, atlas was only on these for 2 months before they sadly took his life! On his last week of being here we had him in on the Tuesday, the same vet who had seen him most was like oh what's happened here this isn't the same dog... She then proceeds to feel his stomach and tell me WITHOUT any scans that my boy was covered in tumors and we had to euthanise him on the Friday, I phoned the next day for a second opinion because how can we say bye to my 4 year old lab who's just getting out his puppy stage... The vet I spoke too gave me an appointment for the Friday for to get a scan, when we go on the Friday it however turns out it wasn't tumors he had it was infact his liver had started to mottle and seperating was the way she described it to us and we had no way of saving us! The PDSA are trying to say this wasn't because of the meds but our boy was a healthy big boy before he started these meds, he detoriated so fast in the 2 months he was on these meds and looked like an old dog by the time we had to say bye to him forever😭😭😭 the PDSA killed my boy and since they don't want to admit it I will put it out there!!! 

Please share and make as many owners aware as possible and get signing this petition that if the PDSA isn't willing to follow procedure on meds they shouldn't be allowed to prescribe them!!! FOREVER 4 ATLAS!!💔❤️ You will be remembered and missed by many my boy!💔❤️
