Write PGCPS TODAY and tell them we love Magruder Park and will fight for it! We want a great middle school for our community's kids, but it should be built on the site of the current school.

Our petition has got the attention of city and county decision-makers but we need to act quickly to make sure they don't ignore our voice.

The task force meeting last week revealed that the county will not follow its usual rules when deciding on the location of Hyattsville Middle School rebuild. To make the funding deadline, the county will NOT WAIT before choosing a site for the school.

No long promised “expert” feasibility study!  No neighborhood public meetings!

BUT: we've also confirmed that the current HMS site can work! According to Pamela Boozer-Strother, our elected member of the Board of Education: “that (new) building can be built on that (current) site.”

Please write to PGCPS today, and also get your family, friends and neighbors involved. Share this message with them, post about this on social media and most importantly: Write an email to PGCPS today!
