Disappointingly, there has been no news about Surrey County Council's ‘MAJOR PROJECT’, despite being repeatedly told three weeks ago that we should have received details by now…
LET THEM KNOW WE ARE STILL HERE!
From the recent conversations we have had with fellow residents, we have received a greater understanding of the array of consequences and the personal impact that the problem of speeding has had. We have heard about:
· Collisions and near misses.
· Parked vehicles being smashed into and multiple cars being written off.
· Deaths of beloved pets on the road.
· Fears and anxiety about crossing the road.
· Being overtaken whilst driving at the speed limit.
And, sadly, many more…
Sometimes discussions on problems such as speeding can appear to have too much focus on facts and figures and too often the personal impact of such issues can feel left out of the forefront.
It is extremely important that those with the power to decide what measures are implemented on the road understand the full picture of how the issue of speeding on Cottimore Lane has personally affected you and your families as Surrey residents.
SEND THEM AN EMAIL - IT ONLY TAKES A MOMENT...
