Fact by Mr. Roy Kelog:

1.   ICCRC said quote “A new regulator would need to hire and train all new staff, which is a considerable time investment and a steep learning curve to become a fully functioning regulator”.• Unquote

Why would the government who has plenty of experienced Immigration Officers in Canada and Visa Post Officers abroad have any difficulty hiring or training staff to work for the new government-controlled regulator of Immigration Consultants? Who would be more knowledgeable about immigration issues IRCC (Immigration) employees or ICCRC employees?

2. ICCRC said quote “No guarantee that fees would stay the same”. unquote

Why have the ICCRC dues not DECREASED since 2011? ICCRC is a not for profit regulator and the membership numbers have increased from 1,600 to 5,500? Is ICCRC doing so much more for you since 2011 that they can claim there is a valid reason to keep our dues the same? ICCRC is right, there is no guarantee the new government regulator would not REDUCE our membership fees. The new government regulator won’t need twelve million one hundred thousand every year to regulate Immigration Consultants.

3.ICCRC said quote “Cons of a new regulator being formed to be the new College” unquote

Why did the government create a new college in the first place? ICCRC educational component was found to be severely lacking by all three major political parties at the #CIMM standing committee. There are no cons only positives reasons to choose the government instead of ICCRC. Why do you worry about “Ghost Consultants” taking your clients away from you because ICCRC says so? ICCRC increased your main competition (fellow members) by five times themselves. Say thank you to ICCRC for decreasing your income?

4. ICCRC said quote “A new regulator would incur significant start-up costs” unquote

The Federal government just allocated $51.9 million over five years plus our dues would add another $12,100,000.00 each of those five years or $60,500,000.00 Sixty million plus fifty-one million = 112 million.

Here are 4 clear examples to show that ICCRC can not convince me and hopefully others that they should be allowed to continue as the regulator of Immigration Consultants. When you get your say, VOTE NO!
