As of 23/24 school year the district of Osceola county board of education decided that cell phone not used for ”academic” purposes will result in them being stripped away from the student.Hi my name Justin myers I’m a student. A while back we had an essay on the significance of leisure time during  essay assessment called the Osceola writes. In the article it describes how spending your leisure time wisely can be beneficial. In the new phone bill it’s states instructional time when cellular devices should be put away, powered off and put in bag or a designated area. Nun the less no where does it state during my leisure time does my cellular device has to follow any of these procedures. Though this bill was passed to law I ask that u sign this petition to help get back cellular devices during leisure time!! Parents they want you to have to go through the school in case of any emergency just to speak to your kids. Not only will this cause an uprising in kids but there will be constantly be a phone problem. We are in the age of technology but also in an age of school shootings. Every year since 6th grade that I’ve been in Osceola County I went at least one red lock down, false alarms and real. I don’t feel safe eating in school with out a phone due to the circumstances that have been placed on me. Though these problems don’t apply to all but if you were in this position I know you’d want people support please share this petition and help correct this new policy.
