Rogoznica, a picturesque town in Croatia, is home to numerous street cats who need our help. These cats roam the streets, facing harsh weather conditions, food scarcity, and overpopulation. To ensure their welfare, we urge the city of Rogoznica to implement the following effective measures:

1. Animal Protection During Pest Control and Use of Toxic Substances:  All toxic substances should be securely contained, even in open areas, so that they are inaccessible to any animals other than rats.  Providing safe food & Immediate removal of dead rats is also essential.

2. Introduce a City-Wide Sterilization Program: This humane initiative would control the cat population and support their long-term well-being.

3. Provide Access to Fresh Water and Food: The city should establish designated feeding stations throughout Rogoznica. Regular nourishment will help these felines lead healthier lives.

4. Erect Winter Shelters: Cats need protection from the elements as well. Safe and warm shelters can be a lifesaver during the cold winter months in Croatia.

5. Recruit Cat Care Volunteers: Engage volunteers or city employees to oversee the well-being of these cats, ensuring they are fed, cared for, and healthy.

6. Implement an Adoption Program: Encourage the community to help find permanent homes for the street cats.

 

By taking these actions, the city authorities can demonstrate their commitment to the welfare of all living beings in Rogoznica. This initiative not only benefits the street cats but also fosters a culture of compassion and care among both residents and visitors to this beautiful town.
