Waipa District Council are on track to start fluoridating the Cambridge water supply in 2026, in compliance with a directive from a former Director General of Health.

Councilors have advised residents that it would be illegal to not add Hydrofluorosilicic Acid to our water, in spite of many of them not wanting to.

The Ministry of Health were wrong about Lead, Mercury and Asbestos. Fluoride is the latest on the list.
We would like a precautionary approach to be applied. The process toward fluoridation should be halted until an Independent Public Enquiry into Fluoridation is completed.

We wish to:

• Advise Waipa District Council that we do not want Hydrofluorosilicic Acid added to our water.

• Call on Waipa District Council to request the Ministry of Health initiates an Independent Public Enquiry into Fluoridation.

• Call on Waipa District Council to write to the current Director General of Health, asking them to suspend the directives to fluoridate.
