The official meeting minutes from the March 19 Area Plan Commission (APC) hearing on Z-2969 are now available. Of the five votes in favor of the rezone, four came from Lafayette representatives and one from a West Lafayette mayor appointee, even after over two hours of thoughtful, fact-based testimony from local scientists, engineers, healthcare providers, and concerned residents.
We are especially grateful to the nine commissioners who voted NO and chose to stand with the community. Special thanks to our two West Lafayette City Councilors:
Larry Leverenz and Kathy Parker, and to the following commissioners for their strong and thoughtful votes: Diana Luper, Jason Dombkowski, Steve Schuhle, Vicki Pearl, Todd Roswarski, Ben Carson, Tracy Brown.
