Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As the April 7 City Council vote approaches, we are calling on State Senator Spencer Deery, a resident of Arbor Chase and a leader in our community, to take a public stand against the proposed SK hynix rezoning.

The facility—proposed for I3 heavy industrial zoning—would sit next to homes, parks, schools, daycares, and senior communities. It raises serious concerns about long-term air quality, construction impacts, and neighborhood safety.

We are asking Senator Deery to stand with his neighbors and publicly oppose this rezoning. As someone who lives just steps from the proposed site and represents this region at the state level, his leadership could make a real difference.

Importantly, Senator Deery has previously spoken out about development in Arbor Chase, raising concerns about traffic and neighborhood safety along Westmoreland Drive. We commend him for that past action—and now ask for the same care and consistency in this much higher-impact case.

Does Senator Deery support placing a heavy industrial facility in the heart of West Lafayette’s neighborhoods?
Or will he join the APC, hundreds of residents, and local families in saying NO to this rezoning?

What You Can Do:

  • Email Senator Deery and ask him to publicly oppose the rezone:
    Email: s23@iga.in.gov, Senator.Deery@iga.in.gov
  • Visit our Facebook page to stay informed and take action together:
    No Heavy Industry Rezoning
  • Check out the public event hosted: City Council Meeting

This is a critical moment for our city. Let’s speak up—respectfully, clearly, and together.

Protect our neighborhoods. Protect our future.
