Petition to Stop Commercial Driveway Access into Our Neighborhood

We, the residents of Vanbrooke, strongly oppose the proposed commercial driveway access being built into our community.

This issue goes beyond inconvenience it directly impacts our safety, quality of life, and the investments we’ve made into our neighborhood.

Why this matters to all of us:

Traffic & Safety Concerns: The new driveway will create a cut-through path for drivers avoiding the traffic light, bringing heavy traffic into our entrance. This increases the risk of accidents and makes it unsafe for families, children, and pets.

Walking Path & Park Safety: The driveway cuts into the landscaped walking path and sits across from the community park, putting pedestrians including kids playing at risk. It also makes our neighborhood more accessible to strangers with no ties to our community.

Protecting Our Investment: We’ve already invested over $100,000 into the landscaping and beautification of our entrance. This project would tear up what we’ve built and diminish the appeal of our neighborhood.

Community Security: By creating a direct connection from a busy commercial center, the project opens our neighborhood to unwanted outside activity, putting residents’ peace of mind and property values at risk.

We urge decision makers to protect our neighborhood by rejecting this driveway access. Our community deserves to remain safe, peaceful, and preserved.
