Konocti Fire Lookout was built in 1977.  It is part of Lake County history. It has been staffed by volunteers since 2015. That is no money out of the pockets of Calfire. Zero. No one except the volunteers pay for fuel for vehicle travel up the mountain. A d they provide their own vehicle.

Please help us by signing this petition telling 5th District Supervisor Jessica Pyska, Calfire Chief Paul Duncan, Calfire Chief Mike Carcucci and the Calfire Administration that we want it fixed! 

Calfire received over $160 million dollars to repair infrastructure and they do not want to fix Konocti Lookout! What! They say cameras, and technology have replaced the human spirit and human eyes. Not true! They just want to spend the money on toys and new stuff. Nothing can replace the human spirit and American determination!

Konocti Fire Lookout is viable, it is essential, and it is important to Lake County Citizens as an early warning Wildfire notification.
