We, the undersigned members of the Summit Hall Elementary School community, respectfully petition for Mrs. Martha Bruno to remain in her role as Parent Outreach Coordinator at the Judy Center at Summit Hall Elementary School.

Mrs. Bruno has been a foundational part of the Judy Center since its inception 22 years ago. Her unwavering dedication, profound understanding of the community, and extraordinary ability to connect with families have made her an irreplaceable asset. She is not just a staff member; she is the heart of the Judy Center.

Over the decades, Mrs. Bruno has built deep and lasting relationships with children, parents, educators, and generations of families who continue to return year after year. She exemplifies the core values of the Judy Center: empowering families and offering steadfast support. Her institutional knowledge, cultural competence, and personal investment in the community she serves cannot be replicated.

Through our participation in the Judy Center, we have personally witnessed the incredible effort Mrs. Bruno puts forth every single day. She greets each child with warmth, supports families through challenges, and inspires trust and love among everyone who walks through the doors. The children adore her. The parents rely on her. The community knows her, and we all benefit deeply from her wisdom, experience, and presence.

Mrs. Bruno's ability to engage children in the learning process is truly remarkable. She empowers both children and their parents by fostering the confidence needed to prepare for school. Her commitment to early childhood education has helped hundreds of children develop the fine and gross motor skills essential for kindergarten readiness. Under her guidance, children have learned to identify their names, letters, and numbers, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

The decision by Montgomery County Public Schools to reassign Mrs. Bruno to another position within the district overlooks the vital role she plays at the Judy Center and the immense value she brings to our community. While we recognize that staffing decisions can be complex, we strongly believe that removing Mrs. Bruno from her current position would be a disservice to the families, staff, and children of Summit Hall.

We urge you to reconsider this decision and allow Mrs. Martha Bruno to continue serving the community she has faithfully supported for over two decades. The Judy Center is more than a program—it is a family. And Mrs. Bruno is a vital part of that family.
