President Donald J. Trump,

Lee Zeldin, the current Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has taken a series of actions that have dangerously weakened protections against some of the most harmful chemicals in our environment. These deregulations have sparked widespread concern among Americans who recognize that such policies threaten the health, safety, and future of our nation.

Rather than supporting your initiative to “Make America Healthy Again,” which millions of Republicans and independents alike embraced, Administrator Zeldin has prioritized the interests of chemical corporations over the well-being of American families and children.

Under his leadership, the EPA has rolled back important safeguards designed to protect families from toxic substances—including persistent PFAS chemicals which as a class have been linked to declining fertility, shrinking testicular size, and lower sperm counts. These chemicals, now being released into our food and water supplies, pose serious threats to both present and future generations.

This approach will inevitably lead to higher rates of chronic disease, greater medical costs, and tremendous strain on our healthcare system. It also undermines one of the fundamental missions of the EPA: to protect human health. Zeldin’s actions clearly demonstrate that his priorities are misaligned with the values of your administration and the American people.

For these reasons, we respectfully urge you to remove Lee Zeldin from his position as EPA Administrator and appoint a leader who will genuinely defend public health and truly put America First.
