Dear Supporters,
Hello. We hope you are enjoying this Holy Week.
On this Good Friday, we are reminded of the spiritual abuse Jesus faced from His own religious community, and how He endured so much suffering to set captives free. Now, all these years later, Echo church has continued to silence countless former staff by giving NDAs tied to severance (and often medical insurance for families.) The incongruent nature of these NDAs given by pastors in a church is causing too many to suffer in silence for too many years. This is not the way of Jesus.
Echo church can release these former staff from NDAs, and yet, until now, they have refused to do so. At times, statements from Echo church have even denied they have given NDAs. The false narratives indicate there is something to hide.
Regardless, no church should silence their former staff. No one who has a story to tell of their trauma should be hindered in their healing because they cannot share their story to ones who will listen, empathize, believe them and pray with them.
Would you ask someone you know to sign this petition? We hope to get to 1,500 signatures. If each of you finds one other person to sign, we’ll be at 2,800.
Let’s tell Echo church how strongly we believe that no one should be silenced. Let’s tell the Echo Survivors that we stand with them.
May this Good Friday lead to a day of resurrection, new life, and captives set free in ways God longs to see the church and God’s children live- with flourishing.
Many thanks,
The Echo Survivors
