Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to each of you who has signed the petition. Each signature, share on social media or by email/text, and comment is putting pressure on Echo.church to release the NDAs.
Comments are helpful in stating the reasons and also encouraging the survivors, like the one from Tiffany Thigpen, a survivor advocate with years of experience in the SBC where she said this:
"There is not a Biblical reason anywhere that a church should have NDA’s, in fact church is supposed to be a place to worship and fellowship with truth, safety and transparency. Only those who want to be in control and don’t trust God to cover them need legally binding documents protecting ONLY them.
Truth and transparency, love and humility, these are the messages of Christ."
-Tiffany Thigpen
Echo.church has been forced to deal with many questions about their NDAs due to the amount of signatures on this petition, and the response of Echo.church has been propaganda in email and on their website that spread false narratives. Echo.church has held prayer meetings that say "we are transparent," while not releasing NDAs, and instead saying, "come see us." There are ones among the Echo Survivors who were spiritually abused in those "come see us" type of closed door meetings in the past.
There is hope, on the horizon, however. There are several who are choosing to ask deeper questions and see the truth. The truth will only come out when the narrative doesn't flow from a singular source, especially when that source has multiple abuse allegations. It is time to hear from those who have been silenced for many years. We hope this ends in the release of many, many NDAs of Echo survivors who have stories to tell, and abuse to heal from.
Please continue to share with any individuals, groups and influencers that would love to help us do the good work of releasing the NDAs so that the truth can set us all free. Each signature gets us closer to our next goal of 2,000. Consider who would want to join us, and share this with them today!
