716 Supporters and Counting: Less Than 300 Away From 1,000

To the Founding 500 and everyone who has joined since:

The momentum is undeniable.

We have now reached 716 supporters, with only 284 more signatures needed to reach our next major milestone of 1,000 supporters.

That means this petition has continued to grow rapidly since passing the first 500-signature milestone. The message is spreading, the shares are increasing, and more people are standing publicly for a fair, transparent, accessible, restorative, and representative citizenship and inclusion framework for the Historic Diaspora in Ghana.

The process must match the promise.

This petition is calling for real reform, including:

  • Reviewing and suspending the prohibitive GHS 25,000 citizenship application fee
  • Removing DNA as a blanket or default requirement
  • Ensuring Historic Diasporans have real, constituency-mandated representation
  • Establishing a clear, year-round citizenship pathway
  • Building a process grounded in reparative justice, not exclusion

And the message continues to move beyond the petition page.

Tomorrow: Legal, Policy, and Reparative Justice Discussion on WSYP Sankɔfa Radio

Tomorrow, Friday, May 8, 2026, Ɔbenfo Ọbádélé Kambon will appear on Attorney Anthony Muhammad’s show on WSYP Sankɔfa Radio, WSYP 95.1 FM, to discuss the petition, the legal and policy stakes, and the urgent need for fair Historic Diaspora citizenship, representation, and inclusion in Ghana.

Date: Friday, May 8, 2026
Time: 9:00am Eastern Time
Ghana Time: 1:00pm

This is a fitting platform for the conversation. Taking this message to Sankɔfa Radio reminds us that repairing the relationship with the Historic Diaspora requires more than symbolic language. It requires policy, representation, access, and a citizenship process rooted in justice.

We are now less than 300 signatures away from 1,000.

That is within reach, but we need everyone to help push this forward today.

Take action now:

  1. Sign and share the petition:
