663 Supporters and Counting: The Movement Toward 1,000

To the Founding 500 and everyone who has joined since:

This petition is on fire.

We have reached 663 supporters, with only 337 more signatures needed to hit our next major milestone of 1,000 supporters.

We are still moving at over 100 signatures per day because the message is clear: Ghana’s citizenship and inclusion framework for the Historic Diaspora must be fair, transparent, accessible, restorative, and representative.

The process must match the promise.

Tomorrow: We Take the Message to the Airwaves

Ɔbenfo Ọbádélé Kambon of The Black Agenda member Decade of Our Repatriation (D.O.O.R.) will appear on Radio One’s Carl Nelson Show tomorrow (May 6, 2026) to discuss the petition, why it matters, and what is at stake for the Historic Diaspora.

Time: 6:00am-7:00am Eastern Time
Ghana Time: 10:00am-11:00am

This is a major opportunity to bring the petition before a wider Black listening audience in the United States. Radio One is part of Urban One, which describes itself as the largest distributor of urban content in the country and states that no other multimedia company reaches over 80% of Black America. The Carl Nelson Show airs Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 10:00am Eastern Time on WOL 95.9 FM & 1450 AM in Washington, D.C., and is syndicated in Baltimore on WOLB 1010 AM.

Every signature strengthens the call to:

  • Review and suspend the prohibitive GHS 25,000 citizenship application fee
  • Remove DNA as a blanket or default requirement
  • Ensure Historic Diasporans have real, constituency-mandated representation
  • Establish a clear, year-round citizenship pathway
  • Build a process grounded in reparative justice, not exclusion

Now we need one more push to 1,000.
