This petition arises out of deep concerns for innocent individuals tricked by the largest housing scam in Ambernath, Maharashtra, orchestrated by the builder Mohan Lifespaces LLP, Architect Thorat Mathew and Associates, and backed by various chief officers from the Ambernath Municipal Council like Prashant Rasal, Shridhar Patankar, Devidas Pawar, Bhalchandra Gosavi, Town-planner Vivek Gautam, Prakash Muley, Vidyasagar Chavan  and property tax officer Narendra Sankey amongst others. Not to forget, the negligence of reputed private and public sector banks along with the failures of officers from Ambernath Cooperative Housing Registrar and Maharera. 

This constitutes a violation of trust, legal norms, and ethical guidelines that ideally govern the functioning of these sectors. We are distressed at the lack of adequate measures and rigid procedure to protect the interests of the homebuyers forcing them to bear the brunt of this crisis.

By this petition, we request the President of India to recognize the gravity of the situation and establish an independent nationwide inquiry into the allegations. The guilty parties should be held accountable, justice should be served to the victims, and stricter norms need to be enforced to avoid a recurrence of such scams. The president's overture can act as the first step towards accountability, justice, and transparency in this regard.
