We are requesting a Zebra crossing on Avondale Street, Standish near to St Marie's Primary School.  Several accidents have occurred at this location at school times, the most recent on Friday 17th February resulting in a car mounting the pavement and ending up in a front garden (the second time in a short space of time).

This road is extremely busy, has heavy goods vehicles and buses travelling up and down from the Industrial Estate a few hundred yards away.  155 houses are currently being built on this road which will increase traffic.  The 20mph speed limit is often exceeded.

Children and parents from ALL Standish Schools, St Wilfrid's Primary, Standish High School, Woodfold Primary as well as those from St Marie's Primary School cross this busy main road which is also a bus route.
