Homelessness is up 12% this year in Vancouver.

The latest from the 2023 BC Coroners Service Report stated there was 458 deaths among people experiencing homelessness in British Columbia, an increase from previous years.

The City of Vancouver has the highest number of these with 77 deaths of unhoused people with inadequate housing in the DTES.
