The Issue

When it comes to Online Gambling people spend lots of time on this activity to the point they get addicted which causes financial problems. Also, people start to crave it when not online gambling and feel willing to spend more money. Once victims start playing it automatically becomes addictive. Once those victims lose their money the goal is to win it back and most of the time this leads to constant financial issues. This spiral can be quick and out of control and result in large debt. Online Gambling cannot only leave those addicted, but will also cause harm to families, careers, and mental health. Victims lives are at stake when it comes to this issue. Between 2 to 57% have reported suicide attempts from years 2018 to 2022. We could get social media platforms like Snapchat and Instagram to offer more games and other forms of interactive entertainment that do not involve gambling. By signing this petition we would protect our nation from addiction and financial ruin, making it a safer environment so that gamblers don't use it for money laundering and other criminal activities
