Dear Supporters,
I am reaching out with an important update regarding the ongoing issues I’ve been facing with LITTLE REAL ESTATE Kallangur. The situation continues to escalate, and I need your continued support as I navigate these challenges.
1. Welfare Check Incident
This past Monday, I received a voicemail from Robert Marshall, the head office manager at LITTLE REAL ESTATE, stating that a welfare check was conducted on my property. However, instead of reaching out to me, the tenant, Robert’s message seemed more focused on the property itself rather than any concern for my well-being. This invasive and impersonal approach shows a disregard for me as a human being.
2. Police Involvement and False Allegations
A more alarming turn of events occurred when Petrie Police arrived at my home to allegedly arrest me for harassment—due to 70 emails I sent with maintenance requests and concerns about my unjust $60 rent increase. After negotiating, I was able to get the increase reduced by $20, but even at $520, the property is still overpriced and in poor condition. To make matters worse, this duplex is marketed as a house to buy, when in fact, it’s a duplex rental. The reality is, I’m just trying to maintain basic living conditions, yet I’ve been made out to be the problem.
3. Struggling with Health Issues
Beyond the harassment, I am navigating personal health challenges, including unmediated menopause, which brings its own set of emotional and physical difficulties. Yet, this has not stopped me from being slandered and labeled as unstable. Despite this, I remain strong and level-headed. During my interaction with the police, the officer was compassionate and understanding, especially considering my mental health history. I’ve been hospitalized twice at the Caboolture assessment center, yet both times I was sent home without any proper support.
4. The Bigger Picture: Standing Up for My Rights
What started as a simple request for necessary repairs and fair rent has turned into a battle against bullying and mistreatment. I have been doing everything I can to handle this situation with respect and maturity, but I am continually met with harassment. I am not just fighting for myself, but for all tenants who are being subjected to similar mistreatment.
Your support means the world to me as I continue to push forward, and I will not back down. I am committed to standing up for my rights and ensuring that this situation is addressed appropriately.
Next Steps:
I will continue to update you all on the progress of this situation, and I will keep fighting for the justice and fairness I deserve as a tenant. Thank you for your support—together, we are stronger.
Let’s keep this fight going.
Kind regards,
Siana Cotton
