Subject: Request for Review and Accountability Regarding Moderator Conduct

We, the undersigned members of the RuneScape 3 community, are writing to formally express concern about a pattern of moderation abuse within the official RuneScape 3 Discord server, specifically involving a moderator known as Saint Cannon.

Numerous community members have reported being unfairly muted, kicked, or permanently banned from the server for actions that do not appear to violate the official rules or the spirit of community engagement. These actions include:

• Simply mentioning the name of another player (without harassment or doxxing).
• Asking legitimate questions about gameplay, community events, or server rules.
• Expressing disagreement with the moderator's actions in a respectful manner.
• Engaging in casual or humorous conversation that was not disruptive nor offensive.

We believe that moderators hold a position of trust and responsibility and should exercise their powers with fairness, transparency, and respect for the community. The pattern of overreach displayed by Saint Cannon not only silences voices unfairly but also undermines the inclusive and collaborative values the RuneScape community stands for.

We are requesting the following:

1. An independent review of Saint Cannon’s moderation actions, including bans, warnings, and deleted messages.
2. Clear and public communication from the Discord server leadership regarding expected moderation standards and guidelines for appeal.
3. Implementation of a transparent appeal system, where users can challenge bans or disciplinary actions without fear of retaliation.
4. Ongoing moderator accountability measures, including performance reviews, community feedback opportunities, and clear escalation paths.

We understand the importance of keeping community spaces safe and constructive, and we fully support the right of moderators to take action when genuine rule violations occur. However, abuse of power damages trust and drives away passionate players, ultimately weakening the community as a whole.

Let us work together to restore fairness, balance, and mutual respect in our shared space.
