According to the Pennsylvania department of transportation, it states. “In 2019 pedestrian crashes related car crashes accounted for 14.5% of all traffic crash fatalities.In 2019 Allegheny County was #1 in the state for car accidents
The preliminary estimates for 2022:
NHTSA states “estimates that 9,560 people died in motor vehicle traffic crashes in the first quarter of 2022. This is an increase of about 7% as compared to the 8,935 fatalities projected for the same quarter in 2021. This would be the highest number of first-quarter fatalities since 2002.”
NHTSA says speeding is the number one factor in 25% of all fatal crashes per year
