The Issue

People have been killed without cause or due process by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the United States. A system that is supposed to protect borders and national security has turned into a source of anguish and injustice, affecting not only non-citizens, but even American citizens.

Recently, it has come to light that American citizens, in unfortunate cases, have been deported to countries they have never visited, let alone called home. This is an egregious violation of their rights as U.S. citizens and a blight on our justice system. Even more devastating is the wrongful deportation of Native American citizens, the true original inhabitants of this land.

The violence and intimidation tactics employed by ICE agents are intolerable. Actions, such as maiming and threatening individuals before even learning their names or stories, highlight a dangerous lack of humanity and empathy within the system. This should alarm all who believe in human rights and dignity.

We cannot turn a blind eye to these injustices. It's time for a structured intervention. By petitioning the United Nations to intervene, we have an opportunity to stop the systemic harassment and violence by ICE in its tracks.

Concrete solutions could include forming an international committee to oversee and report on ICE operations, implementing strict oversight standards to ensure due process is followed, and establishing humanitarian guidelines aligning with international human rights law.

Please stand with us in calling upon the United Nations to take timely and effective action against the current practices of ICE. Join us in making a difference to protect the rights and dignity of every human being affected by these policies. Sign this petition to demand accountability and change.
