We, the undersigned, express our clear opposition to the reopening of the border between Morocco and Algeria, now or in the future.

The Moroccan people do not support reopening the border, as there is no public demand for renewed economic or commercial exchange under the current circumstances. Moreover, there is deep concern among citizens regarding the repeated appropriation and misrepresentation of Moroccan cultural heritage, which undermines our national identity and history.

Until there is genuine respect for Morocco’s sovereignty, culture, and historical legacy—along with sincere and constructive relations—the border should remain closed. Any decision of this magnitude must reflect the will of the Moroccan people and protect Morocco’s cultural, political, and national interests.

نحن الموقّعون أدناه نُعبّر عن معارضتنا الواضحة لإعادة فتح الحدود بين المغرب والجزائر، سواء في الوقت الحالي أو في المستقبل.

إن الشعب المغربي لا يدعم إعادة فتح الحدود، إذ لا توجد أي مطالب شعبية بإحياء التبادل الاقتصادي أو التجاري في ظل الظروف الراهنة. علاوة على ذلك، يساور المواطنين قلق عميق إزاء ما يُنظر إليه على أنه استحواذ متكرر وتشويه للتراث الثقافي المغربي، وهو ما يقوّض هويتنا الوطنية وتاريخنا.

وإلى أن يتحقق احترام حقيقي لسيادة المغرب وثقافته وإرثه التاريخي، إلى جانب إقامة علاقات صادقة وبنّاءة، ينبغي أن تبقى الحدود مغلقة. وأي قرار بهذا الحجم يجب أن يعكس إرادة الشعب المغربي وأن يحمي المصالح الثقافية والسياسية والوطنية للمغرب.

Nous, soussignés, exprimons notre opposition claire à la réouverture de la frontière entre le Maroc et l’Algérie, aujourd’hui comme à l’avenir.

Le peuple marocain ne soutient pas la réouverture de la frontière, car il n’existe aucune demande populaire pour la reprise des échanges économiques ou commerciaux dans les circonstances actuelles. De plus, une profonde inquiétude est largement partagée par les citoyens face aux appropriations répétées et aux déformations du patrimoine culturel marocain, ce qui porte atteinte à notre identité nationale et à notre histoire.

Tant qu’il n’y aura pas de respect réel pour la souveraineté du Maroc, sa culture et son héritage historique, ainsi que des relations sincères et constructives, la frontière doit rester fermée. Toute décision d’une telle importance doit refléter la volonté du peuple marocain et protéger les intérêts culturels, politiques et nationaux du Maroc.
