We, the undersigned members, families, and supporters of our church community, respectfully submit this petition requesting the reconsideration of the decision to transfer Fr. Amounious from our parish.

We acknowledge and respect the authority of the Diocese and remain committed to the teachings, unity, and spiritual life of the Church. This petition is not intended as an act of opposition, but rather as a sincere expression of the deep concern, love, and appreciation felt by many members of our congregation.

The announcement of Fr. Amounious's transfer has caused significant sadness and concern among parishioners. Many members of our church family were surprised by the decision and feel that the congregation was not given an opportunity to share its perspective regarding a matter that will have a profound impact on the spiritual life of the parish.

Why We Are Petitioning
1. Faithful and Dedicated Service

Fr. Amounious has served our parish with dedication, humility, and genuine pastoral care. Through his ministry, he has provided spiritual guidance, pastoral support, and leadership to individuals and families during both joyful and difficult times.

2. Positive Impact on Parish Life

Under his service, many members of the congregation have experienced spiritual growth and renewed engagement in the life of the Church. His efforts have contributed to strengthening church participation, community involvement, and the development of various ministries and programs.

3. Strong Relationship with the Congregation

Fr. Amounious has built meaningful relationships with parishioners across all age groups, including children, youth, adults, and seniors. His presence has fostered a sense of unity, stability, and belonging within our church family.

4. Importance of Consultation and Transparency

While we recognize that clergy assignments fall under diocesan authority, we respectfully believe that decisions with such significant impact on a parish community benefit from open communication and meaningful consultation. Greater engagement with the congregation can help strengthen trust, understanding, and unity within the Church.

5. Concern for the Future of the Parish

Many parishioners are concerned about the effect this transfer may have on ongoing ministries, pastoral care, youth engagement, and the overall stability of our parish. We believe continuity of leadership is important for maintaining the momentum and progress achieved in recent years.

Our Request

We respectfully ask the Diocese to:

Reconsider the decision to transfer Fr. Amounious at this time; or
Provide an opportunity for meaningful dialogue with parish representatives regarding the future pastoral leadership of the parish; and
Consider the concerns, needs, and wishes of the congregation before implementing any final decision.

We submit this petition with humility, respect, and love for our Church. Our intention is not to create division, but to express the genuine concerns of a congregation that deeply values the ministry and service of Fr. Amounious.

We pray that any decision made will promote the spiritual well-being, unity, and continued growth of our parish community. We respectfully ask that the voices of the faithful be heard and carefully considered.

نحن الموقعون أدناه، أعضاء وعائلات ومؤيدو رعيتنا، نتقدم بكل احترام بهذه العريضة طالبين إعادة النظر في قرار نقل الأب أمونيوس من رعيتنا.

إننا نقرّ ونحترم سلطة الأبرشية، ونبقى ملتزمين بتعاليم الكنيسة ووحدتها وحياتها الروحية. هذه العريضة ليست عملاً معارضاً، بل هي تعبير صادق عن القلق العميق والمحبة والتقدير الذي يشعر به العديد من أعضاء رعيتنا.

لقد أثار إعلان نقل الأب أمونيوس حزناً وقلقاً كبيرين بين أبناء الرعية. وقد فوجئ العديد من أعضاء عائلتنا الكنسية بهذا القرار، ويشعرون بأن الرعية لم تُمنح فرصة للتعبير عن وجهة نظرها بشأن أمر سيكون له أثر بالغ على الحياة الروحية للرعية.

أسباب تقديمنا لهذه العريضة
1. خدمة أمينة ومتفانية

الأب خدم الأب أمونيوس رعيتنا بتفانٍ وتواضع ورعاية رعوية صادقة. وقدّم من خلال خدمته الإرشاد الروحي والدعم الرعوي والقيادة للأفراد والعائلات في أوقات الفرح والحزن على حد سواء.

2. أثر إيجابي على حياة الرعية

في ظل خدمته، شهد العديد من أبناء الرعية نموًا روحيًا وتجددًا في مشاركتهم في حياة الكنيسة. وقد أسهمت جهوده في تعزيز المشاركة الكنسية، والتفاعل المجتمعي، وتطوير مختلف الخدمات والبرامج.

3. علاقة متينة مع أبناء الرعية

بنى الأب أمونيوس علاقات وثيقة مع أبناء الرعية من جميع الفئات العمرية، بمن فيهم الأطفال والشباب والبالغون وكبار السن. وقد عزز وجوده الشعور بالوحدة والاستقرار والانتماء داخل عائلتنا الكنسية.

4. أهمية التشاور والشفافية

مع إدراكنا أن تعيينات رجال الدين تقع ضمن سلطة الأبرشية، فإننا نؤمن إيمانًا راسخًا بأن القرارات ذات الأثر الكبير على مجتمع الرعية تستفيد من التواصل المفتوح والتشاور البنّاء. إنّ تعزيز التواصل مع أبناء الرعية يُسهم في توطيد الثقة والتفاهم والوحدة داخل الكنيسة.

5. القلق على مستقبل الرعية

يشعر العديد من أبناء الرعية بالقلق إزاء تأثير هذا النقل على الخدمات الرعوية المستمرة، والرعاية الروحية، ومشاركة الشباب، والاستقرار العام لرعيتنا. ونؤمن بأنّ استمرارية القيادة أمرٌ بالغ الأهمية للحفاظ على الزخم والتقدم الذي تحقق في السنوات الأخيرة.

طلبنا

نطلب بكل احترام من الأبرشية ما يلي:

إعادة النظر في قرار نقل الأب أمونيوس في هذا الوقت؛ أو

إتاحة الفرصة لحوار بنّاء مع ممثلي الرعية بشأن القيادة الروحية المستقبلية للرعية؛ و
مراعاة مخاوف واحتياجات ورغبات أبناء الرعية قبل اتخاذ أي قرار نهائي.

نتقدم بهذا الطلب بتواضع واحترام ومحبة لكنيستنا. ليس هدفنا إثارة الانقسام، بل التعبير عن المخاوف الحقيقية لأبناء الرعية الذين يُقدّرون خدمة الأب أمونيوس وتقديره العميق.

ندعو الله أن يُسهم أي قرار يُتخذ في تعزيز الرفاه الروحي والوحدة والنمو المستمر لجماعتنا الرعوية. ونرجو بكل احترام أن تُسمع أصوات المؤمنين وتُدرس بعناية.

نسأل الله أن يُرشد جميع من أُنيطت بهم القيادة وصنع القرار في كنيستنا.
