What should have been a fantastic and exciting day for many Liverpool fans turned into a day of anger, fear and panic thanks to the actions of a now arrested individual who drove into spectators who had gathered in Liverpool city centre to watch the celebrations of Liverpool Football Club winning the Premier League and parading the trophy through the city on an open top bus.

With thoughts of recent terrorist attacks in mind, both in the UK and abroad, what happened was truly terrifying and has shocked and upset the city - Liverpool and Everton fans have come together in solidarity and there have been messages of love and support sent by fans of clubs around the world, even Manchester United fans have lent support and solidarity in this difficult time and this has shown that the football community does care for each other.

This appeal/pleas of mine may or may not work, but let's see what can happen:

I would like Marine AFC to host a special charity match at their home ground (Rossett Park, Crosby) sometime in June or before the 2025-26 season between a Liverpool XI and an Everton XI in support of the families and friends of those who were caught up in the absolute melee which sadly unfolded before our eyes.

If they can agree to that, it would be truly fantastic - let's make something good and positive out of a truly horrific and horrible event.
