Stand With Dr. Eric Serrano, M.D. — Protect the Doctor-Patient Relationships Built Over Decades

We, the undersigned patients, former patients, family members, and supporters of Dr. Eric Serrano, M.D., respectfully submit this petition regarding the Ohio State Medical Board’s October 14, 2026 decision to permanently revoke his medical license.

An exceptional physician is not defined solely by medical credentials, but by the lives he touches, the trust he earns, and the unwavering commitment he demonstrates to those who depend on his care.

For many of us, Dr. Serrano has exemplified these qualities throughout decades of dedicated medical practice.

In an era when healthcare can often feel rushed, impersonal, and fragmented, Dr. Serrano has built his practice around something increasingly difficult to find.

He is a physician who takes the time to listen, seeks to understand the whole person rather than simply addressing isolated symptoms, and recognizes that effective medical care requires knowledge, compassion, and trust.

His patients have valued not only his medical expertise but also his willingness to look deeper, ask questions, and pursue answers when their health concerns are complex or difficult to resolve.

At the same time, we believe that a decision as consequential as the permanent revocation of a physician’s medical license warrants careful consideration of the evidence, the applicable legal standards, and the profound effects on patients who have experienced years of dedicated care.

We respectfully request:

That Dr. Serrano’s case receive a fair, thorough, and impartial review through all legally available proceedings, with appropriate consideration of relevant evidence and witness testimony.
That the substantial impact of permanent revocation on his existing patients, particularly those with complex medical needs and longstanding treatment relationships, be recognized wherever legally appropriate.
That the firsthand experiences of patients who have received knowledgeable, compassionate, and individualized care from Dr. Serrano be given an appropriate opportunity to be heard.
That any legally available options for reconsideration, modification, or other appropriate relief be evaluated in accordance with the evidence and governing law.
We do not seek to diminish the seriousness of the disciplinary process, disregard the rights of anyone involved, or substitute public opinion for the legal standards that must govern this case.

We simply believe that the voices of patients who have experienced Dr. Serrano’s care firsthand are worthy of consideration.

A physician’s professional legacy is reflected not only in the years he has practiced, but also in the people whose lives have been affected by his work.
