We, the undersigned musicians and performers of Eau Claire, respectfully request that all local music festivals and venues provide:

1. Water – Access to clean drinking water is essential for hydration, vocal health, and peak performance. Festivals are physically demanding, and dehydration can negatively impact musicians’ ability to perform.

2. Minimal, Low-Risk Food Options – Simple, allergen-conscious foods such as granola bars, pretzels, and fruit would help sustain performers without significant cost or liability concerns.

 

Why This Matters:

• Music festivals and live performances require intensive physical and vocal effort.

• Many festivals and performances operate in hot conditions, increasing the risk of dehydration and fatigue.

• Artists often travel long distances to perform and may not have access to food before or between sets.

• Providing basic refreshments is a standard practice in professional performance spaces.

 

Our Request is Simple & Feasible:

• Water is low-cost and a basic necessity for all performers.

• Low-risk foods can be individually packaged, non-perishable, and allergen-conscious to accommodate safety concerns.

• If necessary, a local nonprofit can supply the food at no cost to the festival or venue.

 

We believe that supporting musicians in this way enhances the quality of performances, ensures artists’ well-being, and strengthens the Eau Claire music community.
