PETITION FOR THE IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF PRINCIPAL CHRIS KILLOUGH

PETITION FOR THE IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF PRINCIPAL CHRIS KILLOUGH
The Issue
We, the undersigned parents, educators, students, and concerned community members of Corinth School District, hereby demand the immediate termination of Chris Killough from his position as principal of Corinth Middle School.
In November 2024, it was discovered that Wilson Jones, a teacher at Corinth Middle School, used artificial intelligence to create inappropriate images of multiple students. This was a blatant violation of student safety and trust. Despite the severity of this situation, Principal Killough failed to report the matter to Mississippi Child Protective Services (CPS) as required by law.
Failure to promptly report such incidents puts children at further risk and demonstrates a serious lapse in judgment and responsibility. The safety and well-being of students must be the highest priority in our schools, and any administrator who fails in this duty must be held accountable.
We demand:
1. The immediate termination of Principal Chris Killough.
2. A thorough investigation into the Corinth School District’s handling of this incident.
3. Clear policies to ensure mandatory reporting of child abuse cases to CPS without delay.
By signing this petition, we call for action to ensure that our children are protected and that those in leadership positions uphold the laws and ethical responsibilities entrusted to them.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We trust that the School Board will act in the best interest of our students, staff, and community by addressing this issue with the urgency it demands.
