Thank you all for your incredible support. We have collected 867 signatures and counting, and your voices are being heard.
We want to share some important updates:
- This matter is being taken seriously by both Fairfax County and FCPS officials.
- FCPS Safety & Security has had a visible presence at Spring Hill Elementary all week and will continue into next week.
- Local police officers are on school property today and plan to maintain a presence next week as well.
- Conversations around cameras and additional safety measures are being prioritized.
The intention of this petition is not to cause fear, but to raise awareness and ensure that the proper safety precautions are put in place for our children at Spring Hill Elementary. While the man’s intent that day has not been confirmed, this incident highlights the importance of implementing additional safety measures to protect our kids and staff.
We are grateful to Fairfax County officials, FCPS leadership, our school staff, and the local police for listening to our concerns and prioritizing these efforts.
