Persistent scripting problems, lack of offline modes, and the unappealing gameplay updates, especially the so-called 'Smart Assist', have left many of us former loyal fans feeling neglected and frustrated.
The introduction of eFootball was meant to be an advancement, bringing innovation and excitement to the world of football video games. However, instead of delivering on its promises of realistic gameplay and competitive features, it has pivoted towards aggressive commercial strategies that compromise the user experience.
Several players are experiencing frustrating bugs and glitches during matches, with scripting issues making it feel like the outcome of matches is predetermined rather than based on skill. Moreover, the absence of robust offline modes has alienated a significant portion of the fanbase who enjoyed this feature. Konami's focus seems skewed towards microtransactions, detracting from the fundamental aspects of a football game – fun, fairness, and engagement.
To rectify these issues we propose either shutting down eFootball and redirecting efforts towards developing a new, player-centric football game or conducting a complete overhaul of the current system. This overhaul should address scripting issues, bring back offline modes, and focus on genuine gameplay improvement instead of superficial updates.
