PETITION FOR JUSTICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Support Derrick Mays and Demand Action from the EEOC & NLRB for Rank-and-File Workers
WHY ACTION IS NEEDED
Retaliation for Protected Activity: Derrick engaged in protected activities --- speaking out against discrimination, filing grievances, and participating in union elections - yet he faced escalating discipline and wrongful termination.
Stellantis-UAW Collusion: Evidence shows coordination between Stellantis management and UAW leadership to silence and remove him, in violation of labor law and civil rights protections.
Agency Inaction: Despite extensive documentation, the EEOC and NLRB have delayed, minimized, or dismissed critical aspects of cases like Derrick's. Rank-and-file workers are denied accountability while corporations and compromised union officials are shielded.
Unequal Justice: High-profile cases often receive attention while everyday workers are ignored. This double standard discourages workers from exercising their rights, undermining the mission of these agencies.
OUR DEMANDS
• Immediate and Transparent Review of Derrick Mays' case and other similarly stalled cases.
• Accountability for Retaliation by enforcing consequences against employers and unions who collude against whistleblowers and reformers.
• Structural Reform to create independent oversight so complaints aren't buried, delayed, or dismissed
• Equal Treatment to guarantee rank-and-file members receive the same urgency and seriousness as leadership cases.
WHY THIS MATTERS
If Derrick can be silenced for standing up against discrimination, then every worker's rights are at risk. This case is not just about one person --it exposes what happens when agencies fail to uphold their mandate. Without accountability, retaliation becomes the norm.
WE STAND TOGETHER
• We support Derrick Mays in his fight for reinstatement, justice, and accountability.
• We demand the EEOC and NLRB act immediately to protect rank-and-file workers.
• We call on civil rights organizations, labor allies, and community members to join in the fight for fairness, dignity, and equal protection under the law.
"Discrimination. Retaliation. Excessive Discipline and Wrongful Termination are not acceptable conditions of employment."
