We, the undersigned residents and community members, are calling for immediate action to repair and install functioning streetlights along Sweetwater Road. This area has become dangerously dark at night, creating unsafe conditions for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. Recent tragic incidents, including fatal hit-and-runs, have deeply impacted our community. The lack of adequate lighting contributes to poor visibility, speeding, and unsafe driving conditions. Families should not have to fear for their safety when traveling through this road, and no more lives should be lost due to preventable hazards. We respectfully urge the City of National City and appropriate officials to prioritize the repair, maintenance, and installation of regular working streetlights along Sweetwater Road to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents. Our community deserves safe, well-lit streets.
