The Issue

We, the undersigned owners of the Beauport holiday park, respectfully request that Park Holidays implement a clear and proactive plan for managing ice conditions across the site during winter months.

Each year, the park experiences severe and predictable ice, creating hazardous conditions for vehicles, pedestrians, and critically emergency services attempting to navigate the site. Despite the known risks, the park currently does not grit internal roads, leaving owners to manage safety concerns independently.

Given the substantial site fees paid annually, we believe it is both reasonable and necessary for Park Holidays to take steps that support the safety and wellbeing of all owners and visitors of the park.

We therefore petition Park Holidays to:

Develop and publish a winter ice‑management plan, outlining how the park will prepare for and respond to icy conditions.

Ensure all grit bins across the site are fully stocked at all times throughout the winter season, with replenishment planned months in advance to avoid shortages.

Provide additional grit bins where needed, particularly in high‑risk or high‑traffic areas.

Communicate clearly with owners about grit availability and any changes to winter safety procedures.

These measures are essential for maintaining safe access for owners, visitors, and emergency services. They also reflect a reasonable expectation of service quality in line with the fees paid by owners.

We urge Park Holidays to take these concerns seriously and act promptly to ensure the safety and accessibility of the park during winter weather.
