Petition for Expedited Start of the 1385 Road Widening Project to Mr. Kareem Doucette, Project Manager, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT)

The neighborhoods of Arrowbrooke, Winn Ridge, Sandbrock, Sutton Fields, and surrounding areas in Aubrey have experienced rapid growth with the construction of new houses, apartments, and the opening of a new school this year. This has significantly exacerbated the traffic congestion in our area, resulting in frequent delays, safety risks, and inconvenience for residents and commuters alike.

The recent decision to push back the completion date of the 1385 road widening project to 2029 is unacceptable to us. The increasing congestion on our roads is causing significant disruptions to our daily lives and posing safety hazards for our community. We believe that the current timeline is not adequate to address the pressing traffic concerns in our area.

As the Project Manager of the 1385 road widening project, we urge you to explore all available options to expedite the start of the project. This may include allocating additional resources, funding, and manpower to accelerate the timeline and ensure that the road widening project is completed at the earliest possible time.
