Given that the American government has been taken over by unprincipled people whose only goals are to enrich themselves while hurting whomever they please, many, many people in America are wishing they could leave the US for Canada. Instead, it would be in the best interests of both Canada and for Americans wishing to escape the Trump administration for Canada to create a proposal for annexing Washington State, and possibly other states as well, with an eye towards carrying out that plan if the proposal is approved by a popular vote of the people in that state.

This proposal would provide a roadmap whereby Canada would take over the functions that the American federal government currently oversees, as well as a plan for implementing universal healthcare. The proposal would also include a guide for voters on how their rights and taxes would be different under Canadian rule. 

A draft could be presented to the Washington State Legislature, who can offer suggestions and changes. A final proposal can be approved by the governor, then put to a popular vote.
