We, the undersigned parents and community members, request that the Norwood Board of Education commission an independent, third-party audit of the district’s operations.

This audit should:    

•    Involve interviews with parents, students, staff, and administration.    

•    Assess hiring practices, staff retention strategies, communication protocols, and decision-making structures.    

•    Provide clear recommendations for improvement to ensure transparency, accountability, and the best outcomes for our students.

•    Focus on academics, especially in key areas like math, reading, writing, and science, to figure out why some of our students are falling behind.

•    Explore whether students are getting the resources and help they need, especially those with IEPs or other challenges.

This request is not about placing blame but about addressing systemic issues that have developed over years of turnover. We believe this audit is a necessary step to rebuild trust in our district’s leadership and create a stronger, more cohesive school community.
