FOOD DESERT IS REAL. honestly i do not care if it’s Safeway or TJ or Whole Foods or whatever. We need GROCERIES!!

1. There are close to 6,000 local residents along the waterfront of Oakland spanning from Jack London Square, Brooklyn Basin, to Union Park.
2. SF Bay Ferry ridership has surpassed pre-COVID numbers. And each rider passes through JLS every commute.
3. SB304 just passed, allowing the Port to lease JLS to local serving amenities like grocery stores.
4. Safety and Security team at the JLS is private and offers added security.
5. Dave and Buster is set to open this year.
