Do you believe Blades of Fire deserves a second chance?
We do too. And that’s why we’re launching this fan campaign.

Dear fellow gamers, 

I’m one of the players who bought Blades of Fire on Day One.
Digging beneath its rough technical surface, I discovered a game with a strong and unique identity. And it’s one I’ve genuinely come to love. 

What struck me most was its beautiful, tasteful artistic direction, far from the usual Anglo-Saxon fantasy tropes and architecture. Instead, it embraces a Mediterranean soul that gives the world a distinct warmth, color and personality. Every location and character feels infused with symbolic meaning and archetypal depth, like fragments of a forgotten myth slowly resurfacing from oblivion. 

It’s a game full of atmosphere, with a solid, deep combat system and an old-school sense of exploration that invites players to uncover secrets and interpret a world full of mystery and hidden connections. 

I was already daydreaming about a sequel when I heard the developers speak publicly about the game’s poor sales and financial losses. 

That news hit hard. I couldn’t help but think what a shame it would be to let such rich worldbuilding and dense lore fade away without reaching its full potential. A sequel or even a full trilogy, could elevate this universe to something truly special. 

Will all this hard work go to waste? 

I honestly hate that idea. That’s why I decided to do the one thing I could: create this petition.
Its purpose is to let the talented people at MercurySteam know that there are players out here who truly appreciated Blades of Fire and are ready to support its future. 

Not just through kind words, but with concrete action: by backing a crowdfunding campaign for a DLC, if they ever considered making one. 

A DLC with new areas, enemies, moves, and quality-of-life improvements could reignite interest in the game and pave the way for a sequel. 

DISCLAIMER #2!!! : this petition is NOT a demand or an attempt to pressure the developers in any way, shape or form. I expect nothing from them and fully respect whatever path they choose. If they decide to move on, I would understand completely. 

But if they ever wanted to give their creation another chance, we just want them to know: 

We are here. And we believe in them.

Is this a protest against the developers?
Absolutely NOT.
This petition is a spontaneous, peaceful gesture of support and a declaration of interest from fans who genuinely loved Blades of Fire. It is not a complaint, nor a demand. It is meant to express our hope that the developers might consider launching an official crowdfunding campaign to expand the game, if and only if they wish to.
Our current priority would be a DLC, but of course, we dream that a successful crowdfunding campaign could one day help pave the way for a full sequel. That said, we don’t want to put any pressure on the developers. We deeply respect their work, both professionally and personally and this is nothing more than a heartfelt expression of support from a passionate player who doesn't want to see yet another original, fun IP disappear without trying to do something to avoid it.

We're simply asking MercurySteam to consider the possibility of keeping Blades of Fire alive, perhaps through a DLC funded by crowdfunding, or through any format they feel is appropriate. We trust their creative vision. This petition is a respectful invitation, not an expectation.

Who is behind this petition?
My reddit nickname is Traditional-Bass5439 and (as you may have already guessed) I am a fan of Blades of Fire. I am not affiliated with MercurySteam or 505 Games in any way, nor am I being paid to do this. I genuinely believe the game deserves more attention and support. This is my first petition ever, I am quite excited about it and I hope it will be successful.

What's the signature threshold for this initiative?
The goal is dynamic and incremental. The initial minimum target is set at 5,000 signatures. Once that is reached, we’ll aim for the next milestone of 10,000, then 15,000, and so on. The idea is to show growing community interest and support over time.

If the petition reaches a significant number of signatures, I will share the result publicly and, with full respect and no pressure, I will forward it to MercurySteam through appropriate channels, just to let them know that a community of players is still here, ready to support their work.
