We are neighbors and dog owners who frequent Victoria Manalo Draves Park.  The park provides many services and attractions for various segments of the population in the neighborhood.  But, unlike many other San Francisco parks, there is no safe fenced area for dogs to play off leash.

We request a fenced dog run and suggest the open area across from the basketball court near the entrance to the park be fenced for dogs and their owners.

A dedicated dog area provides a safe place for dogs to play and helps alleviate the concern about dog waste throughout the park. The dog area will also serve as a place for dog owners to share information about community resources (veterinary services, walkers, trainers, boarding, etc.).
