The issue

Japanese sweet potatoes - Murasaki, "satsuma-imo", "yaki-imo" are one of the world's healthiest and tastiest food.

They taste like chestnuts, are low-GI, and help to prevent cancer. And because they are small - they are easy to cook quickly.

This sweet potato type is small and slender - similar in size to a cucumber. The Japanese sweet potato have a purple skin and golden flesh when cooked. Some other variants have a beige cream color and purple flesh.

They are extremely delicious. They are easy to cook and taste like chestnuts. They can be steamed, baked, fried, boiled and roasted.

They are also very healthy. Low-GI, gluten-free.

Eating them will help prevent IBS, and bowel cancer which are one of the leading causes of death among Australians.

They also help you keep slim and healthy by assisting healthy bowel movement, preventing constipation, and promoting general health.

You can currently purchase the Japanese sweet potatoes from a few Asian grocery shops. But they cannot be found in Coles, Woolworths, IGA, Aldi, and mainstream supermarkets.

This petition is to gather enough community support to cause Coles, Woolworths, IGA, or Aldi to start selling this sweet potato variant as a regular item.

If you want Australian Supermarkets to sell this product please vote for this petition.
