Following on from the success of the local petition (744 signatures) for the B474 Penn Road to be a 30mph zone, we are asking the local residents to help raise funds for a professional speed monitoring survey along the B474 Penn Road.
The report is needed to help strengthen the case for a speed reduction. The local parish councils are supportive of the proposal but need to follow the guidelines set out by Transport for Bucks. This requires for a professional set of reports to be commissioned to monitor the speeds on the road over a 7 day to 14 day period.
We are led to understand the council may now be willing to proceed with their own speed monitoring report which is encouraging and can be used to compare findings and hopefully strengthen the case for the speed reduction.
Monitoring will take at three strategic locations along the road in both directions using speed strips for a 7 to 14 day period.
The highways consultancy will then provide a report on their findings and how they support the effort to get the speed reduction implemented by Transport for Bucks.
The monitoring and report will cost £1425 + vat. (previous quotes were c£2400)
So we are looking to raise £1710 in total.
Please donate and share the link to residents on the Penn Road B474 and local residents who may wish to support the speed reduction.
Thank you
