Football is meant to be the world’s game. It is built on fairness, inclusion, competition, and global unity. The FIFA World Cup is supposed to represent all nations, all cultures, and all fans. However, under the leadership of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, many supporters around the world believe FIFA has increasingly prioritized profit, political relationships, and commercial expansion over fairness, accessibility, and the global spirit of the game.

The rising cost of World Cup tickets has made attendance unrealistic for many lifelong fans. The World Cup risks becoming an event only accessible to corporations, sponsors, and the wealthy, rather than the global fan community that built the sport. Football should never become a luxury experience reserved only for those who can afford extreme prices.

There are also growing concerns about unequal access to World Cup host countries. Reports of visa restrictions, entry complications, and proposed financial entry bonds for visitors from certain countries have raised serious concerns among fans. While these policies may be decisions made by host governments and not directly by FIFA, They are responsible for selecting host nations and ensuring that all qualified countries, their players, their families, and their supporters have fair and reasonable access to attend the World Cup. Any barriers that disproportionately affect certain nations undermine the values of inclusion and equality that FIFA claims to represent.

FIFA leadership has a responsibility not only to grow revenue, but to protect the integrity, accessibility, and fairness of the world’s most important sporting event. When leadership appears to prioritize revenue growth and political influence over fans and fair representation, trust is lost.

For these reasons, we call for the resignation of FIFA President Gianni Infantino and for new leadership that will commit to the following principles:

• Fair access to the World Cup for fans from all nations
• Reasonable ticket pricing and improved fan accessibility
• Transparency in FIFA decision-making
• Host country requirements that guarantee equal access for all qualified nations
• Protection of the integrity and global spirit of football
• Football belongs to the world, not to profit margins.

The FIFA World Cup should unite the world, not divide it between those who can afford to attend and those who cannot, or between countries that are welcomed easily and those that face barriers.

We call on FIFA to make leadership changes that restore integrity, fairness, accessibility, and trust in the world’s game.
