Many thanks to all those who have supported this petition. If any of you are still planning on visiting Arrochar - and using the council operated hillwalking and climbing car parks - remember to take lots of cash with you.

Your £1 will no longer buy a day ticket. It will buy a one hour ticket! If you want a day ticket it will cost £9

Argyll and Bute Council believe that they can boost their take from the Arrochar car parks from £10,000 a year to £90,000 a year through raising the charge by 800%

Ben Arthur expects that Council earnings WILL be boosted to some extent by the issue of numerous £60 PCNs to poor souls who don't put in the correct money or arrive back later than they expected. Don't be one of them!
