Removal of Vanguard Anti-Cheat System from League of Legends

We, the undersigned players and supporters of League of Legends, are deeply concerned about the implementation and operation of the Vanguard anti-cheat system. While we recognize the importance of maintaining a fair and competitive gaming environment, we believe that Vanguard's current approach poses significant risks and drawbacks that outweigh its benefits.

Key Concerns:

1. Privacy Invasion:

Vanguard operates at the kernel level, which grants it deep access to our systems. This level of access can lead to potential privacy invasions and the collection of sensitive personal data without explicit consent.

2. System Security Risks:

Kernel-level operations can create vulnerabilities in our systems. If Vanguard itself were to be compromised, it could expose our systems to significant security risks.

3. Performance Issues:

Many users have reported performance degradation and system instability attributed to Vanguard. This impacts our overall gaming experience and the functionality of our devices outside of gaming.

We respectfully request Riot Games to:

1. Remove Vanguard from League of Legends and replace it with a less invasive and more transparent anti-cheat solution.

2. Engage with the community (that left because of vanguard) to find a balanced approach to anti-cheat measures that protect the integrity of the game without compromising our privacy and security.

3. Provide regular updates on the steps taken to address these concerns and improve the overall player experience.
